EVENTS
Throughout the school year the Saranac PTSO runs or assists in a variety of teacher and student supported events. In addition to some of the more major events listed below; we also have Popcorn Fridays, Teacher Snack Carts, and try to fulfill other special item purchase requests. Previously, the PTSO really worked on Elementary support. In 2023-24 We were also asked to expand to help support the Saranac JH, so this year we are trying some events and activities for them as well!
A Few Events Throughout the Year
Monthly Meetings
Our goal as the Saranac PTSO is to provide our students and teachers with the support they need to succeed. Join us monthly on the second Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm to discuss upcoming initiatives and events that support our students and teachers.
Meetings are open to all members. Come and listen, share an idea or volunteer a skill you might have to an upcoming event.
Most meetings take place during the school year at Saranac Elementary School at 250 S. Pleasant St., Saranac, MI 48881.
Santa's Secret Shop
An opportunity for students to shop for a friend or family member in a shop at school that has a WIDE variety of pricing all the way down to $1.
Along with sharing fun at the holidays this gives students a bit of commerce experience - understanding money, doing some money math, making choices for themselves and others as well as "giving".
Older students and PTSO volunteers assist younger students and help with the register in the store. Older students learn a little about inventory and cash transactions.
COMING April
Scholastic Library Bookfair
The bookfair is coming this April.

Bookfair is April 12 - 19. The Bookfair will run on school days from 8:00am - 11am. Afternoon times will be added as needed and volunteers are available.
Family nights are Tuesday and Thursday from 3:00pm - 7:00pm.

Activity Night
Come hang out with your preschooler, young 5 or kindergartener and make a mess free pumpkin, grab a cookie or play on the playground.
